Join us for the return of Sean Haleen, one of San Francisco’s most sought after and celebrated teachers. This year’s offerings include opportunity to dive deeply into the practice of yoga on a very personal level. Sean’s 2016 workshops at Inhale were a sell out so be sure to sign up early once details are finalized!
Friday November 3rd, 6-8 pm – Dynamic Chair Yoga: Twists, Inversions and Restoratives.
This workshop takes you through a sequence that is designed to rejuvenate the body through twists, supported inversions, and restorative poses. If you’ve never experienced the wonders of Yoga with a Yoga Chair, come see for yourself how it enhances poses, actions, and provides a deeper experience in your practice. This is the perfect end to a long and tiring work week! All levels are welcome.
Saturday, November 4th, 1-4:30 pm – “Diksha”: How to Assess When You’re Ready to Deepen Your Poses.
Have you ever wondered if you or your students are ready to go deeper into certain poses or variations, but aren’t sure if it is safe to do so? This mini-training will assess “Diksha”, or initiation points, for assessing whether or not someone may safely move deeper into certain poses such as deep hip openers, headstand/handstand variations, backbends and more. Training includes practice and lecture, and you’ll leave with a greater confidence in moving yourself and your students deeper into poses without compromising their bodies. This workshop is particularly appropriate for teachers and students with more than 5 years of regular practice, but is open to all levels of practitioner.
Sunday 1-3:30 pm – Backbending from Strength
We often assume back bending is purely a matter of being flexible. Yet, to backbend safely and effectively you need to cultivate a great deal of strength to experience the wonderful freedom in the spine, pelvis, and shoulders that these poses can lead to. This workshop will focus on back bending from strength first, flexibility second to revolutionize your relationship to how you move your spine. Appropriate for all levels.
