PILATES is a 60 minute experience guiding you through exercises from within the Pilates Method designed specifically to be performed on a mat, and using your body weight as the primary source of resistance. Focus is placed on precise movements origination from the center (or core) of your body. Working from the deepest layers of muscles, which stabilize and support your spine and pelvis, resulting in a strong, flexible spine with ideal posture and alignment. Classes emphasize the foundation principals of Pilates while offering modification and variations to sit each students' individual needs. Props such as weights, balls or resistance bands may additionally be used in class to create extra resistance. PILATES-TRX additionally fuses exercises performed using TRX suspension ropes tethered to our yoga rope wall.
